This site is run by Muhammad Ahmad, an individual in Lahore, Pakistan. You can read all of it without an account. This page lists everything it collects.

Visitor statistics

I count page views with Vercel Web Analytics. For each view it may store the time, the page, the site that sent you, your rough location, and your device type, operating system and browser. It uses no third-party cookies. It tells visitors apart with a hash made from the request, and discards that after 24 hours, so I see totals and not individual people. Details are in Vercel’s analytics privacy notes.

The contact form

If you send a message, I keep what you typed, including your name and email address, in private storage on Vercel, until I delete it. I also get an email alert about it through Resend. The form limits how often it can be used by storing a salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself.

Blog comments

If you comment on a post, the name, text and any screenshot you add are shown publicly, and stored on Vercel until you or I delete them. Please do not include private details. To limit abuse I keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to a day, never the address itself. A delete key for your comment is saved in your browser, so you can only delete it from that browser. Contact me if you lose access and want it removed.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Vercel, whose servers handle every request. See Vercel’s privacy policy. One font loads from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for it. See Google’s privacy policy.

Stored in your browser

Your light or dark theme, your arcade high score and the delete keys for your comments are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device. The only cookie this site sets itself is a sign-in cookie for the site owner, which visitors never receive.

Advertising

No ads run on this site today. If that changes, ads will appear on blog pages and be served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or other sites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits. You can turn off personalized ads in Google’s Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
